The band's first album, released as 'The Status Quo'. "Picturesque Matchstickable Messages" was available in both mono and stereo (NSPL 18220) versions. The album included all the tracks already issued, as Status Quo, on singles (except "To Be Free"). The album received good reviews in the music press and sold respectably, although it did not chart. Now deleted.

Both mono and stereo (NSPL 18301) versions of "Spare Parts" were available. The album received mixed reviews in the music press and was originally priced at 38s 6d (£1.92). It failed to enter the charts and is now probably the rarest of Quo's early albums. "Antique Angelique" was incorrectly shown as 'Antique Angelica' on the sleeve. Now deleted.

The first, of many, compilation albums issued or leased by Pye records. "Status Quo-Tations" was made up of ninesongs from the "Picturesque Matchstickable Messages" album and the singles "Make Me Stay A Bit Longer" and "Are You Growing Tired Of My Love", together with the 'b' side only "To Be Free". The album was available in both mono and stereo (MALS 1193) versions. Now deleted.

Andy Bown made his first appearance with the band, playing piano on "Blue Eyed Lady". "Reason For Living" was incorrectly shown as 'A Reason For Living' on the sleeve. White label test pressing were produced. Now deleted.

Compilation album issued by Pye for Quo's 1979 tour, as the new Vertigo album's release was delayed. To promote the album and the "In My Chair" single fifty thousand flexi discs (QUO 1 SFI 434) were produced. Half of these were given away on the tour, with a Record Mirror 'special' on Quo. White label promotion copies of the album were also pressed. The first one hundred thousand copies were pressed in red vinyl. "Something Going On In My Head" was incorrectly shown as 'Something's Going On In My Head'. Now deleted.

Following the success of the "Whatever You Want" single, the album entered the chart on the 20th. October 1979 and reached the number three position. It spent a total of fourteen weeks in the chart. Original copies were issued with a lyric inner bag and came with a merchandise leaflet. The album had been provisionally titled "As It Happens", "If What" and "Indecent Exposure". Promotion and white label copies were pressed. Now deleted.

'Greatest Hits' compilation which included all the band's Vertigo singles (with the exception of "Accident Prone"). The album's release was supported by a £250,000 advertising campaign, which included television commercials. "12 Gold Bars" entered the chart on the 22nd. March 1980. It reached the number three position and spent forty eight weeks in the chart. The album re-entered the chart on the 21st. March 1981, reaching the number fifty seven position and spending a further four weeks in the chart. It re-entered the chart again on the 22nd. July 1981 and spent one week at the number ninety six position. On the 29th. May 1982, the album once again re-entered the chart. It reached the number fifty NME Chart 24-4-80 nine position and spent a further seven weeks in the chart. The version of "Roll Over Lay Down", included on the album, was the 'studio' recording from the "Hello!" album and not the 'live' version of the song issued as a single. "12 Gold Bars" reached the number one position in the Melody Maker chart and the number two position in the New Musical Express chart. The album was later re-pressed on the Yellow Vertigo label. Now deleted.

The sleeve claimed that the six songs were previously un-released when in fact "Good Thinking" (incorrectly shown as 'Good Thinking Batman - Jam') was the 'b' side of the "Tune To The Music" single, "Neighbour, Neighbour" was the 'b' side of 'The Spectres' single "I (Who Have Nothing)", and "Hey Little Woman" was "You're Just What I Was Looking For Today". "Time To Fly" (a cover of the Spirit song "So Little Time To Fly"), "José" and "Do You Live In Fire" were recorded during the "Spare Parts" album sessions. The mini album reached the number twenty eight position in the New Musical Express chart. Now deleted.

Triple album set issued to celebrate Quo's twentieth anniversary year. Two albums were made up of the band's 'greatest hits' (including those recorded on Pye). Side five and six were recorded 'live' at the Prince's Trust concert at the N.E.C., in Birmingham on the 14th. May 1982. The album was available in two versions, a limited edition metal boxed set or a cardboard boxed set (PRO LP 1). Fifty thousand individually numbered blue metal box sets were produced. Both versions came with four information sheets. "From The Makers Of..." entered the chart on the 13th. November 1982. The album reached the number four position and spent eighteen weeks in the chart. Twenty, copper coloured, metal box, inter Company promotion sets were also made. Now deleted.

Quo's first 'new' album for nearly three years, "In The Army Now" reached the number seven position and spent twenty three weeks in the chart. It entered the chart on the 6th. September 1986. The album came with a picture inner bag and original copies included a merchandise leaflet. "Rollin' Home" was a different song to the "Rolling Home" track on the "Blue For You" album. Promotion copies of the album were pressed. "In The Army Now" was the first album to feature the band's new line up, which included John Edwards and Jeff Rich. White label test pressings were made. Now deleted.

"Ain't Complaining" entered the chart on the 18th. June 1988. It reached the number twelve position and spent five weeks in the chart. Four track one sided promotion copies were pressed (QUOLP 99 - "Ain't Complaining" / "Who Gets The Love?" / "Cross That Bridge" / "I Know You're Leaving"). Also special promotion box kits were made, with the QUOLP 99 record, cassette, video of "Ain't Complaining", black & white photograph and information sheet. The album was issued with an information inner bag and original copies came with a merchandise leaflet. The album had been provisionally titled "The Fighter" and the original track listing included the Rossi-Frost song "The Greatest Fighter" (which was later included as "The Fighter" on Francis Rossi's solo album "King Of The Dog House" in 1996 - with the Quo version being included on the "Rockers Rollin' - Quo In Time 1972-2000" CD set in 2001). Now deleted.

It reached the number two position and spent a total of twenty five weeks in the chart. "Roll Over Lay Down" was an edited version of the 'studio' recording, from the "Hello!" album, and not the 'live' version. The album's release was supported by a promotions budget of £250,000 and included television advertisement. "What You're Proposing" was incorrectly shown as 'What You're Proposin'', "Rock N' Roll" was incorrectly shown as 'Rock 'N' Roll' and "In The Army Now" was incorrectly shown as 'In The Army'.
